Success is Just Outside of your Comfort Zone

By Jille Bartolome  July 13, 2019

When you take 100% responsibility for your life, synchronistic events start to show up and lead you to your own inner wisdom. When this happens, you have to be willing to dwell in the unknowing, uncomfortable space outside of your comfort zone.

“Move out of your comfort zone. You can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when you try something new.”
~ Brian Tracy

No one is immune to the ups and downs of life. Each and every person on this planet will experience the joys and the pains that come along with this adventure called life on Earth. No matter what your religious, political and experiential beliefs are, you will have times of confusion, overwhelm right along times of peace and security.

The difference in someone who takes 100% responsibility and one who does not is that when things are not going well, a person who is trapped in the mindset that the world owes them something, or that they have been victimized, or that they are being oppressed, feels and experiences even more of the same. Oppression, victimizations and lack. I feel bad for those people and absolutely understand what it takes to move from this very common state of being to one that is much more supportive, more fun and more beneficial to our levels of success in creating the life we want.

But if we can take 100% responsibility for everything that happens in our lives and businesses, we can learn and grow as we go.

When life throws lemons at you, make lemon chiffon pie. I know this is an old statement with a twist (pun intended) but that twist means everything. It means that when you are being pelted with lemons, step away from feeling hurt, from being oppressed, from being the victim and learn to make the very best, most uncomfortable thing with it. Look at it as an opportunity to grow no matter how uncomfortable. Use it at a launching point for all that is great about you and your world. Don’t settle for good (lemonade) go for great (lemon chiffon pie) and watch as everything else starts to take a turn for the better. It is hard for the world to get you down and debilitate you when IT IS ALL GOOD!!! Life is always working in your behalf, even when it seems most certainly that it is not. That is an amazingly liberating belief and a great one to call your own. So, don’t absorb the bad and own it, look at it and learn.

“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.” ~ Neal Donald Walsh

You must be willing to take risks, whether big or small and gradually move in the direction of your dreams.

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them — that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.” ~ Lao Tzu

What do you need to do the next time things are not going well, so that you willingly step into the uncomfortable magical places of responsibility, growth and success?

“As you move outside of your comfort zone, what was once the unknown and frightening becomes your new normal.” ~ Robin S. Sharma
